Expectant Colour Of Love

Love. Love is a feeling that one cannot explain because, how do you explain something that consumes you entirely?

It gives you inexplicable happiness but, it's also not as complicated as we make it out to be - to love someone is the most simple and yet most complex feeling. How do you explain why you suddenly start noticing every tiny detail about a person? How do you explain why the look in someone’s eyes makes you melt? How do you explain why you’re willing to move mountains for a person who’s as ordinary as anyone else?

I think love is a burst of passion that only you can understand. It doesn’t have to be complicated - it’s just that feeling of inexplicable happiness you get at another’s being.

I believe that there is a person out there who is destined only for you. You can't see it, you can't explain it but, you sure can feel it. Fate unravels upon unexpected occasions, under unexpected circumstances. Once you meet with the person you are meant to be with, you just know. Somewhat like soulmates.

They don't necessarily have to be our romantic interests, our soulmates can be our sister, our best friend or even a long lost love. You can sit in absolute silence with them and still feel the love that you have for each other. I often tend to associate love with colours.

Red is an interesting colour to correlate with emotions because it lies on both ends of the spectrum. You have the great part of red, like the red emotions that are daring and bold and passion and love and affection. And then, you have on the other side of the spectrum, jealousy and anger and frustration. I feel red represents the young love when it's all full of adrenaline, there's a rush, butterflies in your stomach when you feel free. The type of love that consumes you.

But, with love and happiness comes obsession, jealousy, anger, fear, anger and frustration. All those emotions spanning from intense love, intense frustration, jealousy, confusion are red. There's nothing in between. There’s nothing beige about any of those feelings, it's all red, intense.

On the other hand, there's gold. In my mind, gold represents the more mature love. When both are adults and can feel that you've been tied together by an invisible string, that love is golden.

It's pure, it feels safe. When you both understand each other like nobody else, that love is golden. When there's no tug of war and you know there's more, then that love is golden.

In conclusion, love is what we need because it gives your life meaning.

Love gives you a positive attitude and it makes you the best version of yourself. It never fails. Love will survive any war waged against it, will make way through any obstacle, will move mountains if it has to all in maintaining its existence.

Love isn’t going away.
