Not Afraid

Look into her eyes,

There is pain and sorrow.

Staring at the path in between valleys,

Retracing footsteps of someone long gone,

Knowing that he is never to return,

But still; wishing his arms around her.

His image still clear in heart,

Never to fade away,

People say; madness is in her,

Not knowing what she is longing for.

'Let me die she says all the time',

Only death to reunite them together.

He had to sacrifice his love for her,

Marching ahead; not looking behind,

If only,

He could see his love letting him go.

How I desire that they unite forever,

Ever again,

Beyond this world,

In the heavens,

Without any fear of growing apart.
